A small portion of my life....
when I was young, I loved to stare at the sky. I always was fascinated by the millions tiny little flickering lights that hung over us. When I read and learnt about all the theories about the universe and its immense size, I used to screw my brains off trying to think in to the infinity... I used to stare up and wonder what the hell am I? Time has gone by since then, I couldn't see stars when i looked up at colombo, all u see is the orange haziness!! even here, u only can spot venus and a few other bright ones through the smog!!!.. but I still find myself wondering, what the hell am I???Most ...

For the past several years, the US bee farmers faced a major crises in the form of Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) . The bee colonies started to collapse quite suddenly. If would’ve watched Seinfield’s Bee Movie, a person can understand the structure of a bee colony. (Discount the ridiculous parts-bees carrying planes, died trees given a boost of life by a spray of pollen….) The colony’s mere existence is based on its structure. If it is tampered with, the colony collapses.
The exact causes of CCD are unknown. However, as one news feature on ScienceDaily states, mites, viruses or pesticide contamination might be the cause.
The damage on the Bee industry is tremendous. Around 36% of Bee colonies have collapsed. ...

The second generation iPhone, you know, the one that will soon come with 3G connectivity, might be cheaper than the first version, the EDGE-only one. This will be possible thanks to AT&T, the sole
carrier who can currently sell the iPhone in the US (apparently, it will be the only one selling the 3G version too).According to Fortune (that quotes someone “familiar with the strategy”), when the 3G iPhone will hit AT&T stores, the double-t carrier will subsidize its price, bringing the 8GB edition to only $199, from $399, and the 16GB edition to only $299, from $499. This discount will only be available to customers who also want to sign a ...

It was a busy afternoon on the Galle Road in Moratuwa and I stopped my vehicle at a pedestrian crossing to allow a few women and children cross the road. The vehicle on the left lane also stopped and the people were now more than halfway across when a Matara bound Leyland bus squeezed through the left and overtook both vehicles along the curb, barely missing the people crossing the road. The bus then cut across to the right lane and nearly missed another bunch of people about to cross at another pedestrian crossing and sped away. The above scenario is a common site on our roads, but no one takes any action, so the unsociable behaviour from the bus ...

Straight hair seems to be quite the blaze these days. At last I see the common factor between the sixteen year old school going s*utty personality and the sixty year old ‘i wannabe young’ grandma next door.
And it’s all the same. They don a super tight pair of jeans that bulge out at all the unnecessary parts accompanied by a super tight black tee. One which hightlights their other vital organ(s). Digusting really. Especially when you’re in a bus and is unfortunate enough so as to stand next to one of these.

Although AdSense can be highly effective in some niches, in some, like mine, it can be fairly useless and a waste of resources. The objective of this blog post is not to tell you guys that “AdSense sucks!”, because it doesn’t. The objective is to show that putting all your eggs in the AdSense basket not ...

There is no point in stereotyping me for saying this. I wasn’t raped or anything as a kid and I live a completely normal life. On the outside. Inside, I am somewhat disturbed. I can’t bear the presence of females. Misogyny is not the real explanation and yet I’d rather not go there right now.
That being said, let me move on to the topic. Death. How do you see death? For me it has always been something that I am waiting for a long time. Suicide is just not good enough.
Buddhists see it as the start of another life. Given the fact that the dead person was not enlightened at the moment of his passing away. Islam/Christian views are somewhat ...

Anthropologist/metalhead Sam Dunn’s follow-up to to his groundbreaking 2006 documentary ‘Metal: A Headbanger’s Journey‘ will be coming out soon, and I am excited as a teenager on the brink of losing his cherry to his favourite pornstar.
The new documentary titled ‘Global Metal‘ takes a look at the extreme metal scenes outside traditional metal hotspots in the US and Europe.
Friends of mine who were at Iron Maiden’s show in India last year were lucky enough to meet Dunn when he mentioned the idea for the follow up documentary. They were in awe, buying the bugger beer and whatnot. I was a tad envious as you can imagine. Seeing his documentary was inspirational; it was when metal ...

Ephemeral Ruminations
It was another night of tripping out when the conversation meandered in the direction of karma and the kind of metaphysical clap-trap that we so often indulge in to exercise the old brain cells, when The Cherry Lady, just back from an extended sojourn in Sunny California where she was threatened – first by floods, and then more recently, by bush fires - steered the conversation in the direction of ‘death’. And I could see that Java, who was more than a little thrilled to see Cher return, was hanging onto her every word. Now although more than one of our friends have had their suspicions of how strongly Java feels about Cher, he has always maintained that they ...

The multinational dynamic ribbon and the other multinational tried in vain to stop this rampage. Soon this Elephant was the proud leader of the pack.
